7th - Tree Planting The Earth Stewards will be doing their annual tree planting on November 7th at McDonald Park, the north end of No.3 Road in east Abbotsford. The tree planting is a partnership with the City of Abbotsford. The goal this year is to build up some of the vegetation along the bank of the Sumas River. All volunteers are welcome whether you are a member of our Church or not. The planting only takes a couple of hours in the morning and is relatively easy as most of the digging and hard work is done by the city staff. A map showing the exact location and further details will be provided. For further information contact the office.

11th - Raise Your Voice! Love to sing? Here's a wonderful opportunity to come together in song! Our Music Director, Deborah Handley, is bringing together a special pop-up choir to perform Hymn to Freedom, Oscar Peterson's beautiful musical prayer for peace, love, and freedom, as part of Mission's Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov 11 at the Clarke Theatre.

The choir will be accompanied by the wonderful Cascadia Wind Ensemble, and Deborah is inviting all of you to take part. Rehearsals will be limited, with just one or two sessions planned:

·         Sunday, October 25 | 2–4 PM (tentative)

·         Sunday, November 8 | 2–4 PM (confirmed) Lower Hall, St Andrew's, 33077 2nd Avenue

·         Wednesday, November 11 | Morning dress rehearsal (10:15) and performance at the Clarke Theatre

Nov 3 - Healthy Daily Habits Wellness Workshop on November 3rd: 9:30 to 11:30am in the upstairs conference room at TMUC. Small gestures and healthy choices have a big impact on our health, independence, and overall wellness. In this interactive presentation, Ken Brake will discuss proven daily practices and introduce practical problem-solving tools. This shared learning session will help participants overcome common barriers to living a healthy, active, and fulfilling life. This workshop is designed for all ages and stages. It’s free! Bring friends!

Nov 14 - 1946 (movie) held at TMUC Nov 14th, 1-4pm, we will watch this pivotal movie and have a discussion afterwards. The revolutionary film documentary investigates how the 1946 publication of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) of the Bible introduced the word “homosexual”; into scripture by translating two ancient Greek terms in a way that later fueled anti-LGBTQIA+ prejudice in Christian churches. Features interviews with theologians, historians, and advocates. Popcorn available.

Dec 6 - Serenata Concert Join Serenata at St. Joseph’s Parish December 6th at 3pm for a choral celebration of the holiday season! $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Light refreshments will be provided.

Dec 7 - Purdy’s chocolate orders for Christmas will be available as a 2026 fundraiser. This year, 100% of the proceeds will go to TMUC. The campaign number at: fundraising.purdys.com is 000035883. There are a few catalogues for you to peruse. The deadline for orders is December 7th

The Linked Bridge Formally L.I.N.C., is looking for donations and volunteers to weed and plant seeds on Emma’s Acres after having all their equipment stolen following the death of owner Sherri Edmunds-Flett.
